My 52.38 gram Angel Chime Moldavite Perfect Condition from Chlum, Southern Bohemia in Cz!

This is a very special Moldavite in my collection cos this is the so called Angel Chime. Angel Chime is not the name of place where it is mined but is the name given to a small, in fact like less then 1% of Moldavite mined where it can chime when it is hit with a hard material like with another Moldavite. And sometimes with the right resonance created by the way we hold it, you can actually hear the chime sound. This special chime produce is so unique that until today no one can explain even those who study Moldavite in scientific method also do not know how! When it was first acquired from a private collection in Czech Republic, it was in raw and not setted. It was weight at 52.38gram and after been setted, it weight 58.6gram. This piece is mined in Chlum, Southern Bohemia in Cz Republic.

Hi,

What do you mean by "raw" vs "settled". Do you mean that the moldavites can actually gain mass or grow over time?

U have an amazing collection! Montrous angel chimes!

Hi Ket Sing,

Sorry that I don't even aware that someone post a comment on my blog. I was just updating some new picture for this one.

In my defination, raw one is basically just the Moldavite alone. And the setted, mean after I added the copper wire to hold this piece which it will add more weight in overall.

Moldavite never grow in size or weight. Hope it explained to your question asked.

Hi Ket Sing,

Just to share with you. I started to collect Moldavite many years ago started back in 1995. My first piece is very small but I pay quite high price cos I am not really know about Moldavite back then.

What really drive me to buy is because of the energy that I feel from it. Even it is so small (less than 8 gram). Then as I started to know more, I basically invested for more bigger piece until now. Most of my Moldavite collection before I acquire them, I get to know their history and where they are being mined.

Hard to really get a big piece that is perfect as most of Moldavite are chipped by miner during mining activities.

Hi,

I'm in Ipoh. I think that's fairly close. Maybe you can come over and visit and see my collection. I started collecting all sorts of crystals am proud of my collection. Do you collect only moldavites?

My most precious is Moldavite. I do collect crystal but not like Moldavite. I also collect lots of dzi bead and some with cinnabar dots.

I also collect toys which I also sell. When I do go to Ipoh, might want to drop by your place.

BTW, I plan to sell this piece and see anyone is interested to be the new owner.

The term Tektite is derived from the Greek word tekto, which means "molten" moldavite
